How to Read Rookie Landing Spots
Quarterbacks
Check whether the rookie is expected to start immediately, compete with a veteran, or develop behind one. A quarterback landing spot can also change the outlook for the team's receivers and tight ends.
Running backs
Study the returning backs, likely third-down role, goal-line competition, and offensive line. An early selection can signal commitment, but it does not guarantee a full workload.
Wide receivers
Compare the rookie with established target earners and consider whether the offense has room for an immediate starting role. Quarterback quality and expected passing volume matter alongside draft capital.
Tight ends and kickers
Tight ends often need time to earn routes and targets, while kicker value depends heavily on winning the job and the offense creating scoring chances. Confirm both roles near your league's draft date.
Use the results to prepare, not to lock rankings
Landing spots identify questions worth following through training camp and the preseason. If your league wants the clearest possible picture of rookie roles, use the shared calendar to compare later draft dates while managers are still available.
Planning note: NFL draft position and team fit are inputs for your research. Neither one guarantees workload, production, or fantasy value.
